Newborn photography is done in my studio in Kansas City, nestled in the West Bottoms. I have done newborn photography for almost 9 years. My newborn session are what I like to call, classic. No crazy colors, background. Total focus on baby and family. Newborn sessions are typically done when baby is around 7-14 days old.. I understand this isn't always an option. NICU stays, complications, etc. can put a wrinkle in the "normal" range. If that is your case, no worries, contact me and let's chat about your options! After securing your due date I will send a prep guide and studio location information. We will talk about colors and any inspirations you have for your session. Capturing those first moments is precious, lets get started!

NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
Your newborn’s first days of life are so special, babies change so quick, so why not document them to treasure for years to come? Let me make the first professional photos of your baby ones you will not forget. Twins/multiples are always welcome in the studio, just allow extra time and a additional small fee to make up for that time. My newborn photography sessions are either lifestyle or classic studio, both in my studio at the West Bottoms in Kansas City Missouri.
SCHEDULING
Photographing newborns is time sensitive, and my favorite part of their first year as a Kansas City newborn photographer. Newborns at this age are easy to pose, it bring out their natural sleeping positions. Some of the classic studio poses are impossible to capture at any other age. That is why we schedule your newborn at 5 to 14 days new. With newborns, the timing makes all the difference, only sometimes babies have their own timeline. Scheduling last minute is only one of the great perks about booking with me. You'll still get in at the right time!
FAMILY & BABY
Family can also be photographed with your newborn. Portraits of parents and their babies can be some of the most important photographs I take. I love capturing the love that you have for your newborn. Siblings are also invited! There is nothing more sweet than to see your new baby with their sibling. It can be such a magical fun moment. We can pose separately with each parent/sibling. We will definitely talk about that pre-session and I will send a help guide to prepare you before your session, also.
AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE
I use a variety of headbands, hats, layers and soft blankets and backdrops to bring texture and life to newborn photos. Mute colors that match the family and style of your newborn so your photographs are timeless and never go out of style. I will ask about colors and what you style you like pre-session, and then have the session styled before you even get to the studio. Each newborn is different, and I pay close attention to detail during shoots, making each and every session fun and special so that all my clients an amazing experience.
