What to expect..

Getting ready for you newborn session can be stressful, but let me ease you a little with some information on how it works. I have everything you need for baby for studio newborn photography. This includes props, outfits(specifically made for newborn photography), wraps, backdrops, flowers, little sleep hats, bonnets.. Basically, the works. All you have to focus on is brining the families outfits and I will match baby according to the family once you arrive in the studio for your session.

In the studio I have a stocked fridge of drinks and a basket of snacks for the little clients, and, of course, the parents!

In-home newborn photography I use most of what you have at home. I do bring a setup for a wrapped basket shot. Otherwise, we just utilize what you have available in your home.

When is the best time for newborn photography?

I always try and schedule newborns between 8-14 days old. This is not always an option. Especially, if your baby ends up in the NICU. I am very flexible and have successfully done newborn sessions at 8 weeks old.

When should I schedule my newborn session?

Putting down a deposit ensures you have a spot around your due date. So, the sooner the better. Babies come on their own time, so, reaching out a couple days after birth to schedule is fine. If you end up getting a scheduled delivery date, you can contact me before and we will schedule something before baby arrives.

When should I schedule my at home newborn session?

These are a little more flexible and can be scheduled up to 1 month of birth for your newborn photography. For deposits and how to schedule, review the question above.

Do you provide backdrops, props, and outfits for baby?

Yes, I provide everything for your newborn. The only thing you need to worry about is outfits for the family.

What do we wear?

I always encourage lighter colors vs dark. Black and darker colors are completely fine, though. Just stick to more mute colors than neon/bright colors. A healthy mix of patterns and textures with solids. Not too many patterns/textures and not too many solids, etc. Check the link below or check out my social media for past sessions for inspiration.

How long does it take to get our newborn photos back?

It takes anywhere from 7-14 days to receive your online gallery with edited images.
